Ohanaeze Ndi-igbo Blames Govt For Insecurity, Killings

The National Vice President of Ohanaeze Ndi-igbo, Chief Demian Okeke-Ogene has faulted the negligence and marginalization of Ndi-igbo by the federal government as the major cause of insecurity and killings in the South East and Nigeria as a whole.

Chief Ogene in an interview in Awka the Anambra state capital said the insecurity we are experiencing is the failure of the federal government and South East govenors who did not start on time in tackling it appropriately, which has now made some individuals to grown wings.

“We need to dialogue with aggrived individuals and groups. I appeal to them to drop there weapons. Governor Chukwuma Soludo is ready to listen to them because The killings and destruction is getting too much.

‘The problems we are facing was caused by the federal government. The marginalization of Ndi-igbo created all these agitations. The federal government put fire in our house and the South East govenors failed to do the needful.

“Before now, we had the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) but when the former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obansenjo accommodated Ndi-igbo in his regime, everything died down.

“The igbos are marginalized by these present administration. What do you expect these youths whom there future is trampuled upon to do. Most of the youths are frustrated and it is reflecting on the society. Ogene lamented
