It was all celebrations at the Church of Pentecost on the 5th of October, 2020 as a couple in Ghana , Mr. Daniel and Mrs. Kate Anyane-Lah, who have remained childless for 20 years, dedicated a set of twins.
According to the testimony; Three months into their marriage in the year 2000, Kate took in but suffered a miscarriage in the early stage of the pregnancy. After the incident, the couple had done everything within human power and medically to conceive again but without result.
The couple narrated the unfortunate ordeal they went through from friends, family members, and even church members. And it came to the point where they stopped responding to alter calls for prayers made to childless couples.
The couple described how for twenty years, they spent a major part of their income on drugs, hospital bills and fertility clinics. And in 2015, they were made to go under a knife for a surgery called Laparoscopy and in which they were assured by the doctor that they will conceive within two months after the surgery but at the end it yielded no positive result.
At a point, the doctor in charge of their medical case at one of the hospitals said to them: “What else do you want from me? I have done all that is medically possible for you.” Kate for emotional pain, was nearly hit by a car, while standing right in the middle of the road unaware.
But to the glory of God, in September 2019 during a prayer session in a programme organised by the Women’s Ministry which was led by the District Pastor, Mrs. Anyane-Lah they encountered divine grace and her menstrual cycle ceased.
She visited the hospital over the menstrual cycle which ceased, she was told at the first examination that it was a menopausal symptom because she was 44 years.
But a test conducted later showed that she had conceived. They did not believe the report so they had to test it three more times by themselves for confirmation with a pregnancy test kit.
It is marvelous miracle that the pregnancy turned out to be twins (two females). Due to her age, she encountered some medical challenges during the pregnancy but God graciously took her through till delivery on 15th May, 2020. The children were named on 19th September, 2020.
