Member representing Dunukofia Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu has described workers as the bedrock for socio-economic development for their dedication and innovative contributions to the growth of the nation.

Ezeudu in a statement by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Dandove Nwankwo, in Abuja, disclosed that workers as the mainstay of the Nigerian economy.

“It is important to reinstate that workers form the bedrock on which the building blocks for sustained national development can be laid,” he said.

“On this Workers’ Day 2022 celebrations, despite unstable economic conditions , I salute all Nigerian workers for their sacrifice, ingenuity and resilience to their jobs towards national growth.

The former Chief Whip called on Workers to continue adding value and putting in their best in whatever sector they work, adding that their efforts will be rewarded accordingly.

“ Holistically, workers on daily basis are doing their best to keep economic activities and growth alive. I will always support all efforts geared towards improving workers remuneration and general welfare of in Dunukofia Constituency and Anambra State at large.

He however urged Labour unions to always embrace peace and dialogue in making their demands, adding that both employers and employees require mutual understanding as they need one another to succeed.

Ezeudu while describing Catholic Fathers as the cornerstone in families, recounted the dignity, struggles and blessings of fatherhood.

“Today is set aside to recognize and honour fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in every society,” elated Ezeudu affirmed

” As we celebrate and honour fathers, I enjoin them to continue being committed to leading and striving to maintain peace, by providing and protecting their families. Fathers are the cornerstone of every home for the growth of the society.
